For those of you who might remember me, my life has been a great journey since graduating from Stevens High School in 1973. Shortly after high school, I enlisted in the army. What a GREAT experience it was for an 18-year old kid who was so naïve to the world.

When my enlistment was over, I returned to South Dakota and pursued my bachelors degree in accounting. After college, I moved to Colorado, where I landed an accounting position with Getty/Texaco Trading and Transportation. I pursued my MBA degree while working at Texaco and was with them for the first decade of my career, rising up through the accounting and finance ranks to become assistant treasurer of the largest crude oil pipeline in the country.

Since then, I have enjoyed various leadership roles in the environmental, technology, and, now, construction industries. Most recently, my wife, Lucia, and I purchased a construction company a few years ago and are now working hard to meet the most recent challenges of the day -- the pandemic, followed by high inflation.

Lucia and I have had 20 wonderful years of marriage. She is my best friend and partner in life. We have two grown children. One "child" is married with three wonderful children (our grandchildren). The other is not married but, nevertheless, has left the nest. Essentially, Lucia and I are empty-nesters and living in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are looking forward to attending the 2023 Class Reunion -- 50 years. In the meantime, if you are ever in the area, please be sure to look us up. We would love to see you!!
